Sophie was one of our cats. She “arrived” with her face buried in a stack of logs at the back of our house. Under great protest she was secured in a cage with blankets and water and food and became part of our home at about 9 weeks old. She remained a part of our family until her 17th year. She never lost that fiesty attitude and independent aloofness.
